The teaser of the chat widget can be designed in many different ways and offers great potential for more clicks and engagement. In the following you will learn how this works.
A teaser can use a message to greet users and action buttons to encourage them to interact with the chatbot.
In reality, this looks like this with our in-house chatbot Moini:
Because a teaser greatly increases engagement and clicks on the chat widget. We know this from various clients who have creatively set up the teaser - and we have had the experience ourselves with our Moini. After teaser message and action buttons were integrated, the number of clicks and conversations increased significantly.
On the one hand, because website visitors become visually aware of the chat widget faster. On the other hand, because the chatbot can attract users with matching action buttons without them having to type in the question themselves.
Provide the teaser with different teaser messages and two action buttons for each subpage. So the action buttons on each subpage can vary and offer users the information they are looking for. This is technically easy to implement and offers the possibility to always address website visitors in the right context.
Not only the content of the teaser message and action buttons are customizable, but also when and how they are displayed. Thus, the placement of the teaser can be adjusted individually and even a time-delayed playout can be set.
Good to know: From a purely technical point of view, action buttons can include Quick Replies. This is also the case with Moini. If a user clicks on the action button "Chatbot Costs" (in german "Chatbot-Kosten), the answer to the appropriate topic is played out directly (see video).
The scripts to set up the different teaser settings are available from the Customer-Success-Team on request.
